Thank you all for attending the 2012 OVC Mass Violence & Emergency National Training Conference and making it a success.
The theme of the conference, "Improving Readiness to Assist Victims", expressed the importance of cooperation and collaboration between federal, state, tribal and local agencies. The conference brought together multidisciplinary teams which included law enforcement, fire and rescue, investigators, medical providers, prosecutors, victim service professionals, policy-makers, faith communities and other allied professionals, who shared their experiences and knowledge about how to respond and assist victims, survivors and communities that experienced mass violence and /or disaster.
